The project to be developed is situated in Kepulauan Anambas Regency in the Province of Riau Islands, Indonesia.  Riau Islands Province, located south of the South China Sea, is a home to around 13 Oil and Gas blocks in their various stages of developments.  Leading contractors in those blocks include Mubadala Petroleum, Medco E&P, Conrad Petroleum, Harbour Energy, Kufpec Petroleum, and Star Energy.

Industrial Estate Planning & Financing

The project is located in Batam City.  The city has a function as a National Strategic Area (Kawasan Strategis Nasional - KSN) with a function as an industrial and trade city.  Industry in the Batam City is the major economic driver in Indonesia in general, and in particular in the Riau Islands Province.  As one of the KSN in Indonesia, Batam City has a total of 24 Industrial Estate and 2 Special Economic Zones (SEZ) areas operating in various sectors. Manufacturing industry in Batam City is the economic sector with the largest contribution to the Batam City’s Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), namely more than 50%.

FPSO Tank Cleaning & Waste Handling

A Pertamina subsidiary needed to clean a one-million-barrel Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) tanker in a port area in Buleleng, Bali. The cleaning involved cleaning 13 compartments on the tanker, each measuring approximately 40 meters x 13 meters x 25 meters. MegaConsult conducted planning and cost calculations to ensure the FSO would be free of hazardous and toxic sludge. The work was particularly challenging due to the ship's unseaworthy condition and damaged equipment. Before the cleaning began, the vessel had to be positioned so that tank cleaning equipment could be lifted onto the vessel.
